Cantus Studio Terms of Service

By using Cantus Studio, you agree to these Terms and Apple's App Store terms (including Apple's Standard EULA).
Who runs Cantus Studio
Cantus Studio is provided by Varrowind Studios, registered in Chicago, Illinois.
What the app includes
Cantus Studio includes free features, optional Premium subscriptions, and optional one-time Sound Pack purchases.
Premium subscriptions
Premium is sold through Apple as auto-renewing monthly or yearly plans.
Apple handles billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
You can manage your subscription in your App Store account.
Sound Pack purchases
Sound Packs are non-consumable in-app purchases (buy once, keep access).
Use Restore Purchases to re-enable owned packs on a new/reinstalled device.
If Apple reports a refund/revocation or no valid entitlement, access to that pack can be removed.
Family Sharing may apply where enabled by Apple/product settings.
Apple Music features
Some Premium features require your own active Apple Music subscription and permission.
Cantus Studio does not sell Apple Music and does not grant rights to Apple Music tracks.
Licenses & Permitted Uses
Your License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Varrowind Studios grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use Cantus Studio and its included content only as permitted in this Section.
You may not use any Cantus Studio content (including Sound Pack content) to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Tabletop Gaming Use
You may use Cantus Studio audio in tabletop gaming sessions, whether in-person or online, live or recorded, including monetized streams, podcasts, and videos related to tabletop play.
For publicly shared content, include a simple credit such as: "Audio by Cantus Studio."
Premium Subscription and Sound Pack Use
A Premium subscription unlocks paid features while your subscription is active; it does not transfer ownership of content.
Purchased Sound Packs are licensed to you for use in Cantus Studio and eligible tabletop-related content.
You may not resell, redistribute, upload, extract, or provide Cantus Studio audio/content as standalone files, libraries, or sample packs.
Non-Tabletop Use
Use of Cantus Studio audio outside tabletop contexts (including films, non-TTRPG video content, non-gaming events, or unrelated commercial productions) requires prior written permission from Varrowind Studios.

If approved, we may provide specific credit requirements for that use.
No Endorsement
Permission to use Cantus Studio audio does not create sponsorship, endorsement, or partnership.
Varrowind Studios is not responsible for and does not officially represent third-party productions that use Cantus Studio audio.
Ownership
All Cantus Studio content is and remains the exclusive property of Varrowind Studios and/or its licensors, protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited license granted above, no other right, title, or interest is granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.
What you may not do
Do not reverse engineer, tamper with purchase checks, redistribute paid content, or use the app unlawfully.
Service changes
We may update features, pricing, or availability at any time.
Some features may be temporarily unavailable during rollout or maintenance.
No warranties; limited liability
Cantus Studio is provided "as is" and "as available."
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit liability for indirect/consequential damages.
If liability applies, total liability is capped at the greater of:
- amounts paid in the prior 12 months, or
- USD $100.
Illinois law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Illinois law.
Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Chicago, Illinois (AAA Consumer Rules).
Class actions are waived.
